This my second set of photos taken from a bus on the road (a pretty good four-lane divided highway, except that the pavement is a little rough) running east from Yichang toward Jingzhou. This set covers the area after the road leaves the hills. In this flat region, the cultivated area is more nearly continuous.
I think this peasant is harvesting rice.
There are traces of traditional decoration on the roofs of these village buildings.
Cart carrying harvested rice.
I think the white specks on the more distant pond are egrets. I saw a lot of large
white birds, which looked like egrets to me, in Hubei province.
