Edward Burton, The Swedish-American Press and the Vietnam War. Göteborg, Sweden: Department of History, University of Göteborg, 2003. x, 324 pp. A doctoral thesis, published by the university that granted the degree. So far I have only found time to skim this, but it looks good. Chapter 5, "The Swedish-American Press on Sweden," contains useful information about the attitudes of the Swedish public, media, and government toward the Vietnam War.

Peter Busch, "The 'Vietnam Legion': West German Psychological Warfare against East German Propaganda in the 1960s," Journal of Cold War Studies 16:3 (Summer 2014), pp. 164-89. West German efforts to debunk East German claims that West German military personnel were fighting in Vietnam.

Giovanni D'Orlandi, Diario vietnamita: 1962-1968. Roma: 30giorni, 2006. 975 pp. D'Orlandi was the Italian Ambassador to Saigon, and played a significant role in the MARIGOLD peace initiative.

Alessandro Giorgi, Vikings in Vietnam: Norwegian Patrol Boat Captains in CIA Clandestine Operations. Atglen, PA: Schiffer Publishing, 2024. 112 pp. Three Norwegians were hired by the CIA in 1963 to serve as captains of small vessels conducting covert raids against the North Vietnamese coast. They served until June 1964. By that time the program had been transferred from the CIA to SOG and had become part of OPLAN 34A.
