The Jin Sha Jiang (River of Golden Sand)
The Jin Sha Jiang (River of Golden Sand) in Yunnan province is the river that downstream becomes the Chang Jiang (Yangzi, Yangtse). This stretch is just upstream of (south of) Tiger Leaping Gorge.

A tributary, looking as if it has considerably cleaner water, flowing into the Jin Sha Jiang.
A grain crop (I think wheat) was being harvested.
This bridge was not strong enouth to carry heavy vehicles. Even the middle-sized tourist
buses in which we were travelling were over the limit.
Sturdy concrete barriers in the road at either end of the bridge helped to ensure that the load
limits would be observed. We got off the buses, and were carried across in vans and cars small enough to fit between the
barriers.
